Regenerative Farming: The Thousand Hills Story

Matt Maier, founder of Thousand Hills Farm, will give a presentation including a tastings of grass-fed beef at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16 SCCF’s Bailey Homestead.

He’ll talk about his passion for holistic, regenerative agriculture that helps reduce carbon in the air, protect and improve our soil and water cycle, and add more nutrients back to our food sources. As part of a network of “Renegade Ranchers,” Maier’s mission is to nourish the soil, the plants, cattle, and people by holistically grazing cattle for their lifetime.

Samples of a range of delicious products made with Lifetime Grazed 100 percent Grass Fed Beef from his farm in Minnesota will be featured at this SCCF program, which is presented in partnership with Bailey’s General Store.

The presentation will be in the Pavilion at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, which was farmed by the pioneering island family that founded Bailey’s General Store more than a century ago.
