The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club celebrated a special milestone during its Friday, October 16 meeting, recognizing the club’s achievement of 100 percent Paul Harris Fellow membership.
With more than 90 members, this milestone represents over $90,000 in cumulative contributions recognized by The Rotary Foundation, reflecting the club’s strong commitment to generosity and service.
Paul Harris Fellow recognition honors individuals who have contributed, or have had contributions made in their name, totaling $1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation. Achieving 100% Paul Harris Fellow status means every active member of the Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club has received this recognition.
To make the celebration even more memorable, Rotarian Michael Young dressed as Rotary founder Paul Harris, bringing a little history and humor to the occasion.
The achievement reflects the generosity and dedication of the club’s members and their shared commitment to Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self.
The Rotary Foundation supports humanitarian projects locally and around the world, including initiatives focused on disease prevention, clean water, education, disaster relief, and promoting peace.
Through their continued support of The Rotary Foundation, Sanibel-Captiva Rotarians help extend the club’s impact far beyond the islands, making a difference in communities around the globe.
