Daily and weekly rates are available for their 4 and six-passenger carts. Home/Resort delivery and pickup is included. To learn more about Salty Wheels, visit their website here or call (239) 247-2393.
The race event will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House as an in-person race on Dec. 2, 7:30 a.m. This year FISH offers two race lengths, a 10K and a 5K. The Sound+Waves music festival, hosted by ‘Tween Waters, will begin at 5 p.m. on Dec. 2. The concert will be performed on the beach, followed by fireworks. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
“We are excited to support FISH and all they do for the island community,” says Patrick Turner, Owner. “Seeing their quick response after Hurricane Ian proved how committed FISH is to keeping island residents and workers moving forward during the toughest times.” In addition to their financial sponsorship, Salty Wheels will also donate the use of two golf carts during the 10K/5K races for FISH’s use in organizing runners, officials, volunteers and team members.
Race registration is available online here. Sound+Waves tickets are on sale online here.
Funds raised through the race benefit FISH as they continue meeting the needs of islanders daily. FISH has grown exponentially through their over 40 years of providing services to the residents, workforce and visitors of Sanibel and Captiva. In addition to their traditional four pillar programs – Food, Island Based Education, Social and Senior Services, and Helping Hands — the organization is focusing on their long-term recovery program including mental health counseling and resources for Hurricane Ian survivors.
