Sanibel Fire and Rescue District responded to a small electrical fire Sunday, April 3, which started in a boat docked at the Sanibel Marina. But the fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher prior to their arrival. Firefighters checked the boat the ensure it was safe and returned to service.
SFD also had a call for a water rescue on Friday, April 1, but it was canceled. There were 29 additional calls logged from April 1 to April 6:
