DDWS Welcomes First ‘Ding’ Dogs Donor

provided to Santiva Chronicle

Recently, the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge welcomed Boomer Duvin as its first “furry friend” sponsor. Believing that animals should support animals, the shih tzu poodle mix is sponsoring the Go Wild for “Ding” – Lovin’ Spoonbills fundraiser on Feb. 12 and Project Refuge: A Couture Fashion Show Using Trash on March 10.

Boomer is one smart dog. A graduate of Princeton with an honorary degree from Indiana University, he is fluent in English and Spanish and donates his time to work with autistic children.

Anyone interested in joining Boomer in sponsoring or having a furry friend sponsor 2020 DDWS Refuge 75th Anniversary Celebration events, contact Dot Voorhees at 239-472-1100 ext. 239 or dot@dingdarlingsociety.org. For information about the events, visit ding75.org.
