Next ‘Pine Island Sounds’ Featuring Jon Stickley Trio

Join the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation for an uplifting sunset cruise from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, featuring the Jon Stickley Trio. The genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio promises deep grooves, innovative flatpicking, and sultry-spacy violin that moves the listener’s head, heart, and feet.

“It’s not your father’s acoustic guitar music. Instead, Stickley’s Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres — all thoroughly integrated into a personal style,” according to Guitar Player Magazine.

The trio will be performing aboard the 65-foot Lady Chadwick for the second of four sunset concert cruises this season. Guests will be treated to light bites and an initial complimentary cocktail (thanks to SCCF supporters Jack and Janie), all included in the $100 ticket price.

“In a time when a lot of instrumental music feels more like math than art, Jon Stickley Trio reminds us of the pure joy that can be created and shared through music,” says Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass).

SCCF launched the one-of-a-kind concert series, Pine Island Sounds, in 2019 as a special donor event to support critical research and programs to protect local water quality. Buy tickets at sccf.org/pine-island-sounds.
